Critter
Purple Finch, Haemorhous purpureus
"The Purple Finch prefers nesting in lowland coniferous and mixed forests, avoiding more heavily populated urban areas, but sometimes found in rural residential areas."
An otter visited the lake today. I’d seen a few in the creek a couple years ago but today was able to watch with binoculars for 20 minutes. First as they floated on their back then as they hunted and ending when they surfaced with a fish in their mouth, then moving out of sight.
The Northern Cardinal always provides some welcome color in the otherwise grayish brown winter landscape. And their song is always nice to hear. #bird #Birds #Nature #Wildlife #Birdwatching #WildlifePhotography
It’s a good thing I work from home because if I didn’t, this poor cat wouldn’t have a comfortable place to lay. #Cat
Importing some old photos into my library I came across pictures of Petunia, a Whitetail fawn that, sadly, had been separated from her mother when she was less than a week old. I raised her, and I was lucky to observe her and her fawns for years. #deer
I call this Cat-in-the-lap mode. One of the benefits of the iPad, especially the larger size, is being able to pop it out of the Magic Keyboard Case and prop it up in portrait orientation for reading when Rosie insists on a cozy.
Annie, one of my furry friends and so, so sweet. She was a stray in a group that ran by my cabin 6 years ago. The others kept going she stopped and moved in. ❤️
Rosie in the sink because only fresh water from the tap is good enough for her. Happy Caturday to those that celebrate.
It’s a given that if I try to get anything done Rosie will come over and attempt to plop down on my keyboard. Happy Caturday!
